GeoNarrative2025
This is an ongoing research.
Current large language models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT, often struggle to integrate geospatial data into dynamic, interactive visualizations, relying on text-based outputs. This limitation hinders the potential of geospatial data to communicate complex information through narrative- driven formats, making it challenging for users to interpret the data effectively. Meanwhile, existing data visualization tools, such as Tableau and ArcGIS, are limited by their reliance on static dashboards and rigid scientific formats, which require significant manual input and expertise.
The gap between the capabilities of current tools and the need for narrative-driven visualization highlights a critical opportunity: the development of a tool that integrates LLMs with geospatial data to create user-friendly, narrative-based visualizations. This tool could transform how we communicate spatial data, particularly in fields such as journalism, education, and urban planning, where the ability to convey complex patterns in an engaging manner is essential.
